1. Information We Process

We use Firebase Authentication to provide sign-in. After Google Sign-In, we store your UID and email address in Cloud Firestore account information to identify the account, synchronize service information, and process account deletion. Your UID and email address are also stored with online gameplay records to identify users and operate rankings.

Some information, including game settings, downloaded song information, and up to 100 local gameplay records, may be stored in your browser's localStorage. This information remains in that browser and is not transmitted to our server, except when a signed-in user's clear record is submitted online.

2. Purposes of Processing

• Provide Google Sign-In, authenticate users, and maintain login sessions
• Identify signed-in accounts, synchronize account information, and process user-initiated account deletion
• Store gameplay records, provide online rankings, and prevent abuse
• Analyze service usage and performance, diagnose errors, provide game configuration, and improve quality
• Maintain service security and comply with legal obligations

3. Google Sign-In and Information Sharing

Google Sign-In is optional. You may use some game features without signing in, but sign-in-based features such as online record storage will be unavailable. We do not collect or have access to your Google account password.

Google may independently process information during Google Sign-In under its own privacy policy. You can revoke Shutting Stars' access from your Google Account.

4. Retention and Deletion

• Firebase authentication information is retained until you request account deletion or the service ends. After deletion is initiated, removal from Google's backup systems may take additional time.
• Firestore account information is retained until you request deletion, use the account deletion button in the settings screen, or the service ends. We will delete it without undue delay when a deletion reason occurs.
• Online gameplay records in Firestore are retained while the ranking and record services are provided. We will delete them without undue delay when you make a valid deletion request or the service is terminated, unless applicable law requires retention.
• Analytics information is automatically deleted according to the Google Analytics retention period configured by the Operator and Google's applicable policies.
• You can delete browser-stored information using the game's reset feature or your browser's site-data controls.

5. Service Providers and International Processing

We do not sell personal information. We use the following provider to operate the service. Information is transmitted over the internet and may be processed at the provider's facilities outside your country.

6. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction or deletion of, or restriction of processing of your personal information. You can use the account deletion button in the settings screen to directly delete Firestore account information linked to the currently signed-in UID; the service will sign you out after deletion. Email us at the address below with the email address used to sign in and details of your request. We will verify your identity and respond within a reasonable period. Signing out or revoking access from your Google Account does not automatically delete gameplay records already stored in Firestore.

7. Children's Privacy

Users under 14 must not use Google Sign-In or online record features without consent from a parent or legal guardian. If we learn that we processed personal information of a child under 14 without the required consent, we will delete it.

8. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect personal information, including using Firebase access controls and encrypted communications and limiting access to information needed to operate the service.

10. Changes to This Policy
